Hi, my name is Mark Donaghy, I live in Parkgate with my Wife and 2 children, 3 dogs, 2 cats and 4 chickens! I’ve had a passion for pics for over 40 years due to my godfather being an avid wildlife & portrait photographer.

This passion was put to the test when I was asked to document my brother-in-law’s Wedding on a days notice after their original photographer had to cancel. I had a day to learn some of the basics of event photography before jumping in at the deep end! Fortunately the venue and backdrop leant itself to fab pics, and the very understanding guests kindly overlooked my nerves and (occasional) over-instruction!

As stressful as this day was, it taught me a lot about event photography and cemented my desire to do this professionally. 10 years later and I’m in the fortunate position to be doing what I love.

As a relaxed, friendly photographer, I thrive on documenting those spontaneous moments that make life truly beautiful. There's something magical about candid shots, they tell authentic stories without the pressure of posing. Whether it’s the joy in a child’s mischief or the subtle glances between loved ones, I’m all about creating a comfortable atmosphere where people can just be themselves.

Armed with my camera, my goal is to capture images that radiate warmth, humour and genuine connection.
